The 2007-08 series Prize Presentation BBQ followed Brown’s Race 11 with a wide range of prizes given for series winners.
The overall Brown’s Series Winner was Carol Hurst who consistently won her women’s category races, closely followed by Matt Dalziel, Ben Maynard, Sharon Campbell and Brett Stewart. Carol took home a fabulous trophy as well as a Ricoh digital camera courtesy of TasPrint.
In the prestigeous Most Improved category, Andy Townsend showed the benefits of consistency and training, improving his times over the series by a big 16.9%, followed by Mark Dunbabin (13.1%) and Elsa Gales (12.9%). Andy also received a wonderful trophy and a daypack, thanks to Mountain Creek.
All handicap race winners walked away with a bottle of limited release Brown Duck wine (you had to be there on the night to collect), and other category winners received daypacks from Mountain creek, or Images of Antarctica calendars (officially the Best Calendar in the World and gold medal winner in the Wildlife category as well) courtesy of AT and Shazza, as well as trophies and silverware.
