27 paddlers completed in Brown’s Race 7 for 2007-08, with the field depleted by a significant number of regular competitors heading off to to get tired and muddy in Wildside MTB.
The race saw new faces with James Jackson, Sylvia Cleary and Yvette Edward joining the competition and Sarah Boyle and Dave Gray returning from their sojourn in NSW.
The Short Time trial was won by Dan Hall, closely followed by Matt Dalziel and Ben Maynard.
The prestige Short Handicap event was taken out by newcomer James Jackson, who no doubt will catch the eye of the handicapper and other paddlers for future races as he was arguably under-weight for this race.
Dan Hall again won the handicap on corrected times, with Ben, Brett Stewart and Kris Clausen all being close behind.
