Four Derwent Canoe Club juniors nominated for the Australian Junior and U23 Slalom teams and all four were selected. Daniel Watkins (U23), Kate Eckhardt (U18), Jake Hodkinson (U18) and Rohan Borojevic (U18) will travel to Brazil to contest the World Junior U18 and U23 Slalom Championships at Foz Do Iguassu in mid April. The tour will also take them to the fantastic 1992 Olympics course at La Seu d’Urgell in Spain to race in the Pyrenees cup.
Daniel Watkins also secured a spot on the Senior team.
How can you help?
Yes, they leave shortly after the easter bunny has laid lots of chocolate eggs (huh?). So we only have time for one good fundraising event to help them fly the DCC flag on the world stage.

Time: Meals & team entries from 6.30pm and Quiz starts 7.30pm
Where: Derwent Sailing Squadron, Marieville Esplanade, Sandy Bay.
Teams: Maximum of six per team @ $10 per person
