Thanks to all (the team of 10 paddlers!) that helped out with time, enthusiasm and expertise on Saturday 28th for the TIS phase 2, Wildwater Talent search. It will be interesting to see how the ‘High Performance’ TIS component progresses from here, there’s definitely talent identified. Expanding that to fit the multi-faceted discipline of Wildwater racing will be the next challenge, once squad of 4 paddlers has been decided. The afternoon was invaluable from a club/canoeing exposure viewpoint, being a unique way to introduce 47 people to the sport (with parental attendance) and a particularly successful way, if the participants comments are anything to go on.
